Affinity Group Meetup Rooms
The networking lounge gives attendees the ability to connect by affinity group. SWE’s affinity groups (AGs) include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion AGs, Career Stages AGs, and Business and Interests AGs. The lounge will have networking time and content provided by the AGs and partners. This partnership provides organizations with a unique backdrop for connecting with attendees in a high-traffic, “go-to” space.
AG members who are interested in hosting a meetup during WE23 should speak directly with their AG lead. The method to sign up to host a meetup will be communicated to AG leads in July 2023. All signups must go through the appropriate AG lead.
AGs may also lead meetups on the WE23 virtual platform, but simultaneous sessions (a virtual element to an onsite event) should be discouraged.

Rainbow Lounge
There will be a Rainbow Lounge at WE23 to offer a safe space for our SWE LGBTQ+ community and allies. This lounge will provide opportunities to connect, socialize and participate in fun activities.
Prayer/Meditation Room
SWE is excited to provide attendees with a quiet space for meditation or prayer. We value your time with us and recognize the importance of self-care during a hectic and exciting program. This room will be open to all and will include prayer mats as well as chairs.
Committee Meetup & Committee Dinner
All members of SWE committees, boards and affinity groups are invited to attend this meetup and dinner. The first two hours are an opportunity to meet with your committee members, prospective members and those in other committees. The final hour is for dinner, introductions and a moment of appreciation and recognition. This event is by invite only. Invitations will be issued by email in early September to committee chairs and coordinators, who will then pass the invites on directly to their members. Registration is due by October 1, 2023. The registration link will be shared via email invite in advance.
Virtual Meet-Ups
All virtual attendees are invited to check out the virtual meet-ups during the WE23 conference. A variety of meet-ups will be held by our global ambassadors, Affinity Groups, committee members, and SWE staff to encourage general networking, discuss community building, or share best practices. These will be added to the virtual schedule by the end of September.
